AX Transportation is part of the Ahern Family of Companies that began in 1953 from humble beginnings as a gas station truck stop and landscape equipment rental shop on the site where the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, now stands.
Today, the family-owned business includes leading brands such as Ahern Rentals, the largest independently owned equipment rental company in the USA, as well as global equipment manufacturing brands, Xtreme Manufacturing and Snorkel.
Building upon the success of Ahern Rentals, and his other companies, Don Ahern founded AX Transportation in the spring of 2016. After decades of brokering out shipments of parts, equipment, and supplies between locations around the country, Don’s vision of creating his own trucking company became a reality, allowing him to safely and efficiently transport rental equipment and products for his companies.
